Sigma Nu Fraternity
Zeta Pi Chapter

Sigma Nu is for life. We don’t say, “I was in a fraternity in college.” We say, “I’m a Sigma Nu.” It doesn’t end on graduation day. Join us for a Texas Tech football tailgate get together and you’ll see the bonds of brotherhood carry on well past graduation.
When you join Sigma Nu, you immediately become part of almost a 1100-member alumni group of Texas Tech graduates – the Zeta Pi chapter. You also become part of our network of 275 chartered chapters and over 190,000 living alumni. That’s powerful. But how will all this benefit you personally?
Mentoring
Our alumni work with our collegiate members in a mentorship role. Each one of our collegiate Executive Board members is paired with an alumni mentor to support him in his role. For example, the chapter president may be paired with an alumnus who is a business owner and can bring real world experience and perspective to performing the duties of chapter president. The recruitment chairmen may be paired with an alumnus who is VP of Sales or Sales Manager of his company.
Our goal as alumni is to support our collegiate brothers with the tools of wisdom and experience from the business world that they would not normally find on a college campus. You can then use these life skills as a student leader within the operations of the chapter and to develop an impressive resume for life beyond college. What’s more, our alumni-mentoring program will empower you and Sigma Nu to gain a competitive advantage on campus that could not otherwise be achieved. As a result, we have college men graduating into the business world who have used their fraternity leadership experience in the ways that relate closely to the experiences they will face in the business world. No other student organization at Texas Tech advertises such a comprehensive alumni-student mentorship program.
Networking
It is not uncommon for brothers to carry on strong relationships long after college. Sigma Nu hosts annual golf outings and several Texas Tech football tailgate events to keep our alumni brothers connected. As a result, many brothers support each other in business. You’ve heard it said before, “it’s not so much what you know – but who you know” that makes all the difference. This is your opportunity to make the most out of college and life beyond.
As our fraternity continues to grow and members graduate from Tech and become Alumni we hope to involve Alumni in every class in the continual development of Zeta Pi.
